The walk-in patient stared at him and asked: \u201cHave you accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as you personal Savior?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe problem is his name wasn\u2019t on the schedule anymore. I checked for his name the whole month, I mean the guy basically wasn\u2019t there and there was no evidence that such person ever came in the office\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Instead of being happy and fulfilled, Dr. Greg Lehman was always frustrated and angry \u2013 despite having an envious lifestyle that included ski trips, luxury cars, and a fancy home.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was going from one thing to the next: buy a new car, and when that didn\u2019t do it, I\u2019d go out and buy new clothes or take a trip,\u201d Lehman told OTG Ministry. \u201cI went though hobbies. I did triathlons. I took up wine as a hobby.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lehman was a proud atheist. He\u2019d cruised through medical school. He ran a profitable practice, had a wife and two kids. Despite the accouterments of success, contentment eluded him.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a combination of you\u2019re sad, you\u2019re empty. At the same time you\u2019re angry, you\u2019re frustrated because you\u2019re like, \u2018Why? What\u2019s wrong with me? Why am I not fulfilled? Why don\u2019t I feel like I have achieved what I worked my whole life for?\u2019\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

Dr. Lehman tried to mask what he was feeling inside. \u201cYou\u2019re embarrassed. You\u2019re not going to tell anyone. You keep it inside. So what you wind up doing is taking it out on other people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lehman \u201ctook it out\u201d on his wife and family.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was good but he had a short fuse,\u201d his wife Ruth told OMG. \u201cHe was arrogant. He was always right.\u201d<\/p>\n

If he was irritable with his family, he was even more annoyed with his Christian neighbors, because he thought their lifestyle didn\u2019t line up with the Bible.<\/p>\n

Setting out to expose his neighbor\u2019s hypocrisy, he began to arm himself with ammunition by reading the Bible. He would confront their inconsistencies with their own book.<\/p>\n

Instead the power of the Word confronted him. He was dumbfounded by the Gospels\u2019 claim that Jesus was God in the flesh. \u201cThat quickly got my attention because I realized if that did happen, it was the most important event in history,\u201d he said. \u201cI forgot about the neighbors and set out to find out if this really happened.\u201d<\/p>\n

After weeks of researching, he realized everything about Christianity hinged on the resurrection.<\/p>\n

As a doctor, he tried to rule out options, weighing hypotheses that could explain away the resurrection: \u201cThe apostles stole the body. It was a hallucination,\u201d he considered.<\/p>\n

After carefully examining the theories of the naysayers he came to a startling conclusion. \u201cNone of them were credible. The only thing that could make sense with the historical facts of the way it was set up with the Roman guards was that the tomb was empty and He actually rose.\u201d<\/p>\n

He was impressed by Luke, a fellow doctor. Doctors were trained to dismiss \u201csuperstitious miracles\u201d and identify scientific causes. But here was a doctor validating the miracles of Jesus.<\/p>\n

The clincher was Paul, who started as a Jewish persecutor of the early church but wound up being the biggest proponent of the faith.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s killing Christians. He has nothing to gain. What in the world could make this guy go and be the greatest evangelist ever?\u201d Lehman said. \u201cThere was only one explanation and that was that he saw the risen Lord Jesus Christ. When I looked at the evidence and I looked at these guys and their changed lives, I said, \u2018I have to believe it.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

One day, he finished a medical consultation with his usual \u201cDo you have any questions?\u201d<\/p>\n

The walk-in patient stared at him and asked: \u201cHave you accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as you personal Savior?\u201d<\/p>\n

He was aghast. \u201cI about passed out,\u201d he said. \u201cWhy was he asking me this? Who is this guy? I bolted out of the room because I didn\u2019t know what to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

For two days, he pondered the strange occurrence.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere were things in my life I wanted to change, the anger and the frustration. But I didn\u2019t have the power to change,\u201d he said. \u201cIt kind of all culminated with me breaking down and crying and asking God to forgive me. I repented of my sins and asked Him to change me.\u201d<\/p>\n

He prayed alone at home to receive Jesus as his Lord and Savior. The next morning, he felt an inexplicable and unaccustomed tranquility.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was completely peaceful,\u201d he said. \u201cSomething was really different. I had been changed.\u201d<\/p>\n

At first, he wasn\u2019t sure what was going on and even checked to see if his antihistamines had been changed to a brand that would produce the peacefulness. But, no, the antihistamines were the same.<\/p>\n

Finally, he believed in miracles!<\/p>\n

\u201cSince the day I was saved, I\u2019ve never felt alone. I\u2019ve never felt empty. I\u2019ve never felt all that discontentment and stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

His wife, Ruth, is happy with the change. \u201cI feel like I\u2019ve got a new husband.\u201d<\/p>\n

The next day Greg went looking for the patient\u2019s file and to his amazement, there was no trace of it in the hospital anymore<\/p>\n
