It may hurt to admit it, but you\u2014along with everyone else\u2014do a lot that really doesn\u2019t matter.<\/p>\n<p>To achieve your dreams, you\u2019ll need to decide what really matters and what will last in your life. Then, focus on that. The Bible says,\u00a0<em>\u201cAn intelligent person aims at wise action, but a fool starts off in many directions\u201d<\/em>\u00a0(Proverbs 17:24 GNT).<\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve figured out what matters most, set goals big enough to require faith. Jesus says in Matthew 9 that he will bless you as much as you want. His blessing depends on the size of your faith. He says,\u00a0<em>\u201cAccording to your faith let it be done to you<\/em>\u201d (Matthew 9:29 NIV).<\/p>\n<p>God is telling you to choose your cup\u2014and he\u2019ll fill it. Whether you have a little teacup, a five-gallon jug, or a 100-gallon barrel of faith, God will fill it up according to your faith. How much you trust God determines how much God blesses you.<\/p>\n<p>You exercise faith by setting goals on the way to accomplishing your dream. You set a goal when you say, \u201cGod, I believe you\u2019re telling me that you want me to accomplish\u00a0<em>this<\/em>\u00a0by a particular date. It\u2019s really going to stretch me to do it, but I believe this is what I need to do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-21565 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/dream-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/dream-1.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/dream-1-300x150.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>What is a goal set in F.A.I.T.H.? It is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>F<\/strong>ocused: It\u2019s specific\u2014something you can measure.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A<\/strong>ttainable: It\u2019s possible and practical. If you set an unrealistic goal, you won\u2019t accomplish it.<\/li>\n<li><strong>I<\/strong>ndividual: It\u2019s personal. You can\u2019t set goals for other people. You have ownership over your own goals, not someone else\u2019s.<\/li>\n<li><strong>T<\/strong>rackable: Your goal needs a deadline. Without a date on it, it\u2019s not a goal.<\/li>\n<li><strong>H<\/strong>eartfelt: Never set a goal you\u2019re not passionate about. You\u2019ll only accomplish goals that you really desire to reach.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Are there dreams you\u2019ve given up for dead? Goals will give them new life. Take a look at the dreams you\u2019ve given up on.
