We are weary<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We are weary. Weary from relationships that don\u2019t work or careers that\u00a0don\u2019t satisfy or bodies that refuse to heal. Weary from too many trips to the cemetery, therapist, or happy hours that are anything but. Our shoulders slump. Our eyelids droop. We are tired. A tired generation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Blame it on the \u201creach for the moon\u201d work ethic. We saddle up the horse called \u201cgo get \u2019em\u201d and do exactly that.\u00a0Blame our weariness on the Internet revolution. We\u2019re never unplugged.\u00a0Blame our exhaustion on a peculiar pride we have in margin-less living. We are proud of our long hours and late flights.\u00a0The consequence? A society of exhaustion.<\/span><\/p>\n

Are you among them? You don\u2019t have to be. Jesus has an invitation for you: \u201cCome to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give\u00a0you rest\u201d (Matthew 11:28).<\/span><\/p>\n

How Wide Is God\u2019s Love?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0It\u2019s nice to be included. You aren\u2019t always. Universities exclude you if you aren\u2019t smart enough.\u00a0Businesses exclude you if you aren\u2019t qualified enough. And sadly, some churches exclude you if you aren\u2019t good enough. But though they may exclude you, Christ\u00a0includes<\/em>\u00a0you.\u00a0When asked to describe the width of his love, he stretched one hand to the right and the other hand to the left and had them nailed in that position so you would know he died loving you.<\/p>\n

Surely there has to be a limit to this love.\u00a0You\u2019d think so, wouldn\u2019t you?\u00a0But David the adulterer never found it.\u00a0Paul the murderer never found it.\u00a0Peter the liar never found it.\u00a0When it came to life, they hit bottom.\u00a0But when it came to God\u2019s love, they never did.\u00a0How wide is God\u2019s love? Wide enough for the whole world, and you\u2019re included.<\/p>\n
