On the one hand, winged pure white angels \u2014 symbols of goodness \u2014 up in heaven. On the other hand, horned red demons \u2014 symbols of evil \u2014 down in hell. How much are these authentically Biblical, though?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-26786 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/messengers-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/messengers-3.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/messengers-3-300x150.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>God\u2019s Most Reliable Envoys<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In Hebrew, the word for angel is \u05de\u05b7\u05dc\u05b0\u05d0\u05b7\u05da\u05b0\u202f<em>malakh<\/em>\u00a0meaning \u201cmessenger\u201d.\u00a0<strong>The\u00a0<em>malakh<\/em>\u00a0is not a cute baby with white wings and a halo of blond hair.<\/strong>\u00a0He looks like an adult human, but he is immortal and can move between heaven and earth. In the Bible, God uses his angels as emissaries who deliver messages to people. Oftentimes, these angels are not even recognized as supernatural beings because they look like normal people.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-26787 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/messengers-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/messengers-4.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/messengers-4-300x150.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Grandest Adversary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Among the staff of heavenly beings that surround God\u2019s throne, the Bible tells us about one being named \u05e9\u05b8\u05bc\u05c2\u05d8\u05b8\u05df\u200e\u00a0<em>Satan<\/em>, meaning \u201caccuser.\u201d Satan is not described as a hideous red-faced demon with horns, a tail and a pitchfork. He is not the incarnation of evil, and he does not live in the flames of hell.\u00a0<strong>He is simply one of the members of God\u2019s heavenly court who advises and sometimes disagrees with God.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-26788 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/messengers-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/messengers-5.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/messengers-5-300x150.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reclaim the Original Bible<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The idea of good angels versus evil devils developed gradually over the course of the centuries as Jews and Christians searched the Bible for hidden mystical meanings. These ideas are simply not found in the authentic words of the Bible.
