I will not leave you until I have done what I promised you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jacob certainly felt it was. After God appeared to him, Jacob said, \u201cSurely the Lord is in this place and I did not know it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>How many people can say the same? They are unacquainted with the God who meets us. They believe in a God who created the world but not a God who\u2019s involved in the world. A God who made the universe but not a God who makes a difference in the day-to-day. Christian atheists they are.<\/p>\n<p>God was\u2014and is\u2014speaking to you. That is him, standing at the top of the ladder. Sending angels to help you. Receiving the angels who deliver your prayers.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-28305 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/grace-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"413\" height=\"541\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/grace-1.jpg 413w, https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/grace-1-229x300.jpg 229w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 413px) 100vw, 413px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>God never gives up on you.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>God\u2019s grace isn\u2019t a lucky charm crucifix on a necklace. God\u2019s grace is a tiger in your heart.<\/p>\n<p>God\u2019s grace did not happen one time, long ago. God\u2019s grace happens now, today&#8230; to anyone who\u2019ll so much as give God a prayer.<\/p>\n<p>His grace never quits.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s the kind of God he is\u2014he\u2019s the \u201cGod of Jacob.\u201d Our God is the God of those who struggle and scrape, sometimes barely making it, hanging on for dear life.<\/p>\n<p>So if you are looking for sterling-silver heroes of Scripture, I refer you to Daniel or Joseph.
