And for the next few moments we would speak the language of love. We\u2019d roll on the floor, gobble bellies, and tickle tummies and laugh and play. We delighted in each other\u2019s presence.<\/p>\n<p>In this very special dad time my kids let me love them! Psalm 127:3 through 5 reminds us that \u201cChildren are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from Him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one\u2019s youth. But the man in this story is an humble man, who says again and again, \u201cMy little daughter is dying.\u00a0Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and live.\u201d He doesn\u2019t barter with Jesus. He doesn\u2019t negotiate. He doesn\u2019t make excuses. He just\u00a0<em>pleads.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>There are times when everything you have to offer is nothing compared to what you\u2019re asking to receive. What could a man offer in exchange for his child\u2019s life? So there are no games, no haggling. So Jairus asks for help. And Jesus, who loves the honest heart, goes to give it.
