After looking over the farmer\u2019s entire swine herd, the preacher pointed to a scrawny, sickly, little runt and said, \u201cI want that one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The farmer protested vigorously, \u201cWhy, Preacher, you don\u2019t want that one. He\u2019s the scrawniest runt I ever saw. Look, here are some fine hogs over here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That\u2019s all right,\u201d said the preacher, \u201cI want that one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After the purchase was completed, the preacher said, \u201cNow I am going to haul this pig all over the country and tell everyone that this is the kind of hogs you raise!\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-36590 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/hog-2-e1751523006757.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Hey, Preacher, that\u2019s not fair,\u201d the farmer protested. \u201cI raise fine hogs. An occasional runt doesn\u2019t represent my whole stock. The preacher replied, \u201cI am only following your example of condemning a whole church because of the actions of a few of its members,\u201d. The farmer got the point!<\/p>\n<p>Remember, flawed humans make up the church, not perfect saints. That comes later.
