It is a fully integrated system\u2014more sophisticated than any machine humans have ever designed.<\/p>\n<p>Inside one cell:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Millions of molecular machines work in coordination\u2014motors, pumps, switches, and factories operating at the nanometer scale<\/li>\n<li>DNA stores vast amounts of digital information, using a precise chemical code that must be read, copied, and corrected<\/li>\n<li>Error-correction systems constantly monitor and repair mistakes, similar to \u2014 and in many cases exceeding \u2014 modern computer systems<\/li>\n<li>Energy production units convert raw materials into usable power (ATP) with extraordinary efficiency<\/li>\n<li>Self-repair, self-regulation, and self-replication occur automatically, without external control<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-39043 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/cell-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"526\" height=\"526\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/cell-1.jpg 526w, https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/cell-1-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/cell-1-80x80.jpg 80w, https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/cell-1-36x36.jpg 36w, https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/cell-1-180x180.jpg 180w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 526px) 100vw, 526px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Human machines do one or two of these things\u2014never all of them at once, and never autonomously.<\/p>\n<p>Even the most advanced technology on Earth:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Cannot<\/strong> self-replicate from raw materials<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cannot<\/strong> self-repair at the molecular level<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cannot<\/strong> generate new coded instructions without intelligent input<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Yet a living cell does all of this continuously.<\/p>\n<p>Calling a living cell \u201csimple\u201d is like calling a supercomputer a rock.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-39044 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/cell-3-300x169.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/cell-3-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/cell-3.png 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This raises a serious question:<\/p>\n<p>If every complex, information-rich system we know comes from intelligence\u2026<\/p>\n<p>why should the most advanced system we\u2019ve ever discovered be the lone exception?<\/p>\n<p>This isn\u2019t a religious claim.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a design inference\u2014the same type of reasoning used in engineering, archaeology, and information science.<\/p>\n<p>The deeper we look into life, the more we find <strong>precision, coordination, and purpose at every level.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And that\u2019s why the idea of a \u201csimple\u201d starting cell doesn\u2019t solve the mystery of life\u2019s origin\u2014<\/p>\n<p><strong>it deepens it.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 <strong>The Intelligent Design<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-39045\" src=\"https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/cell-4-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/cell-4-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/cell-4-80x80.jpg 80w, https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/cell-4-36x36.jpg 36w, https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/cell-4-180x180.jpg 180w, https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/cell-4-705x705.jpg 705w, https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/cell-4.jpg 736w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Zeb Wilson Life Starts From a \u201cSimple\u201d Cell \u2014 But That Cell Is More Complex Than Any Machine, We are often told that life began with a simple cell.
