Smith Wigglesworth was known as a man of few words\u2014but when he spoke, heaven listened.<\/p>\n

One day in Bradford, England, a young preacher invited Wigglesworth to speak at a church meeting. The young man expected a fiery sermon. Instead, Wigglesworth walked to the pulpit, opened his Bible\u2026 and stood completely silent.<\/p>\n

Minutes passed.<\/p>\n

People shifted uncomfortably. Someone coughed. The young preacher panicked.<\/p>\n

Still Wigglesworth said nothing.<\/p>\n

After nearly ten minutes, he closed his Bible and said only one sentence:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen God speaks, I speak. Until then, I remain silent.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Then he sat down.<\/p>\n

The congregation was confused\u2014some even offended. But that night, something unusual happened. Without music, without preaching, without altar calls, people began to weep. Strong men fell to their knees. Women cried out for mercy. Conviction swept through the room like a mighty wind.<\/p>\n

By the end of the meeting, dozens had repented, marriages were restored, and several sick people testified they had been healed while Wigglesworth stood in silence.<\/p>\n

Later, someone asked him, \u201cWhy didn\u2019t you preach?\u201d<\/p>\n

Wigglesworth replied,<\/p>\n

\u201cWords without power are noise. I would rather say nothing and let the Holy Ghost preach.\u201d<\/p>\n

That was the secret of Smith Wigglesworth\u2019s life\u2014not eloquence, not education, but absolute dependence on the Spirit of God.<\/p>\n

He believed that faith did not come from speaking much, but from hearing God clearly and obeying Him fully.<\/p>\n

And wherever that kind of faith showed up, dead things came back to life.<\/p>\n
