'><section class=\"av_textblock_section \"  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock  '   itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Ezekiel 27:1-24 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Ezekiel+27%3A1-24&amp;version=NIV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here for Bible Verses<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10900 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/200814.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/200814.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/200814-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/200814-450x225.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Hi GAMErs,<\/p>\n<p>Today\u2019s passage is Ezekiel 27:1-24.\u00a0 Let\u2019s go!<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Ezekiel 27:1-24 (NIV)\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0The word of the\u00a0LORD\u00a0came to me:<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0&#8220;Son of man, take up a lament concerning Tyre.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">3\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Say to Tyre, situated at the gateway to the sea, merchant of peoples on many coasts, &#8216;This is what the Sovereign\u00a0LORD\u00a0says:\u00a0&#8220;&#8216;You say, O Tyre,\u00a0&#8220;I am perfect in beauty.&#8221;<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">4\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Your domain was on the high seas;\u00a0your builders brought your beauty to perfection.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">5\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0They made all your timbers\u00a0of pine trees from Senir;\u00a0they took a cedar from Lebanon\u00a0to make a mast for you.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">6\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Of oaks from Bashan\u00a0they made your oars;\u00a0of cypress wood from the coasts of Cyprus\u00a0they made your deck, inlaid with ivory.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">7\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Fine embroidered linen from Egypt was your sail\u00a0and served as your banner;\u00a0your awnings were of blue and purple\u00a0from the coasts of Elishah.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">8\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Men of Sidon and Arvad were your oarsmen;\u00a0your skilled men, O Tyre, were aboard as your seamen.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">9\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Veteran craftsmen of Gebal were on board\u00a0as shipwrights to caulk your seams.\u00a0All the ships of the sea and their sailors\u00a0came alongside to trade for your wares.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">10\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0&#8220;&#8216;Men of Persia, Lydia and Put\u00a0served as soldiers in your army.\u00a0They hung their shields and helmets on your walls,\u00a0bringing you splendor.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">11\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Men of Arvad and Helech\u00a0manned your walls on every side;\u00a0men of Gammad\u00a0were in your towers.\u00a0They hung their shields around your walls;\u00a0they brought your beauty to perfection.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">12\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0&#8220;&#8216;Tarshish did business with you because of your great wealth of goods; they exchanged silver, iron, tin and lead for your merchandise.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">13\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0&#8220;&#8216;Greece, Tubal and Meshech traded with you; they exchanged slaves and articles of bronze for your wares.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">14\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0&#8220;&#8216;Men of Beth Togarmah exchanged work horses, war horses and mules for your merchandise.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">15\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0&#8220;&#8216;The men of Rhodes traded with you, and many coastlands were your customers; they paid you with ivory tusks and ebony.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">16\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0&#8220;&#8216;Aram did business with you because of your many products; they exchanged turquoise, purple fabric, embroidered work, fine linen, coral and rubies for your merchandise.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">17\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0&#8220;&#8216;Judah and Israel traded with you; they exchanged wheat from Minnith and confections, honey, oil and balm for your wares.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">18\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0&#8220;&#8216;Damascus, because of your many products and great wealth of goods, did business with you in wine from Helbon and wool from Zahar.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">19\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0&#8220;&#8216;Danites and Greeks from Uzal bought your merchandise; they exchanged wrought iron, cassia and calamus for your wares.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">20\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0&#8220;&#8216;Dedan traded in saddle blankets with you.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">21\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0&#8220;&#8216;Arabia and all the princes of Kedar were your customers; they did business with you in lambs, rams and goats.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">22\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0&#8220;&#8216;The merchants of Sheba and Raamah traded with you; for your merchandise they exchanged the finest of all kinds of spices and precious stones, and gold.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">23\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0&#8220;&#8216;Haran, Canneh and Eden and merchants of Sheba, Asshur and Kilmad traded with you.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">24\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0In your marketplace they traded with you beautiful garments, blue fabric, embroidered work and multicolored rugs with cords twisted and tightly knotted.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On verses 1-24:\u00a0 Here in these verses we really get a sense of how prosperous, beautiful and sophisticated was the city of Tyre.\u00a0 Verses 4 through 7 speak of Tyre&#8217;s asthetic beauty.\u00a0 Verses 8 through 11 speak of how Tyre attracted the best and the brightest, making their shipping industry and military very powerful.\u00a0 Verses 12 to 24 speak of Tyre&#8217;s extensive trade relationships and burgeoning economy.\u00a0 As powerful, prosperous and beautiful as Tyre was, the one problem we see in Tyre &#8212; which would prove to be her fatal flaw &#8212; was her pride.\u00a0 In verse 3, God quotes Tyre as saying, &#8220;I am perfect in beauty&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>What can we learn from this?\u00a0 No matter how powerful, prosperous, popular or beautiful you get, always stay humble.\u00a0 Humility comes before honour, but pride precedes a downfall.<\/p>\n<p><em>Heavenly Father, may I always have a humble heart toward You and toward others.\u00a0 May I always have a humble perspective about myself, knowing that it&#8217;s not about me.\u00a0 It&#8217;s about You.\u00a0 In Jesus&#8217;
