Today\u2019s passage is Joshua 11:1-11.\u00a0\u00a0Let\u2019s go!<\/p>\n

Joshua 11:1-11 (NIV)\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>
\n1\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0When Jabin king of Hazor heard of this, he sent word to Jobab king of Madon, to the kings of Shimron and Acshaph,
\n2\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0and to the northern kings who were in the mountains, in the Arabah south of Kinnereth, in the western foothills and in Naphoth Dor on the west;
\n3\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0to the Canaanites in the east and west; to the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites and Jebusites in the hill country; and to the Hivites below Hermon in the region of Mizpah.
\n4\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0They came out with all their troops and a large number of horses and chariots–a huge army, as numerous as the sand on the seashore.
\n5\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0All these kings joined forces and made camp together at the Waters of Merom, to fight against Israel.
\n6\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0The\u00a0LORD\u00a0said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid of them, because by this time tomorrow I will hand all of them over to Israel, slain. You are to hamstring their horses and burn their chariots.”
\n7\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0So Joshua and his whole army came against them suddenly at the Waters of Merom and attacked them,
\n8\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0and the\u00a0LORD\u00a0gave them into the hand of Israel. They defeated them and pursued them all the way to Greater Sidon, to Misrephoth Maim, and to the Valley of Mizpah on the east, until no survivors were left.
\n9\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Joshua did to them as the\u00a0LORD\u00a0had directed: He hamstrung their horses and burned their chariots.
\n10\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0At that time Joshua turned back and captured Hazor and put its king to the sword. (Hazor had been the head of all these kingdoms.)
\n11\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Everyone in it they put to the sword. They totally destroyed them, not sparing anything that breathed, and he burned up Hazor itself.<\/em><\/p>\n

On verses 1-11: Joshua and the Israelites are facing a massive army made up of many allied enemy nations. Verse 4 describes them \u201cas numerous as the sand on the seashore\u201d. Yet God speaks to Joshua and says \u201cDo not be afraid of them, for this time tomorrow I will hand all of them, slain, over to Israel.\u201d (v6) The key word after that is \u201cSo\u201d: \u201cSo<\/u><\/em>\u00a0Joshua and his whole army came against them suddenly\u201d (v7).\u00a0In other words, Joshua chooses to focus on what God says over and beyond his circumstances.\u00a0\u00a0As a result Joshua and the Israelites achieve their most dominant victory yet.<\/p>\n

What can we learn from this?\u00a0Even when you feel like you are facing impossible odds or insurmountable circumstances, listen to and trust God\u2019s Word over your circumstances.\u00a0\u00a0God\u2019s Word spoken to your heart is more powerful than the circumstances that surround you.<\/strong>\u00a0So hear God\u2019s Word, trust it, and declare it over your situation.\u00a0\u00a0With faith say:<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u201cIn Jesus\u2019 name, I declare that this situation is not too difficult for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u201cIn Jesus\u2019 name, I declare that God will work this all out for good.\u201d<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u201cIn Jesus\u2019 name, I declare that if God is for me, so who can be against me?\u201d<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u201cIn Jesus\u2019 name, I declare that this situation is nothing compared to my God, and that God reigns over this situation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Focus on the mountain mover, not the mountain.\u00a0\u00a0For God\u2019s Word will help you achieve your most dominant victory yet.<\/p>\n

Heavenly Father, thank You that Your Word leads me to victory.\u00a0\u00a0You are my mountain mover, so please give me ears to hear Your Word spoken to my heart in this current situation.\u00a0\u00a0May I focus on Your Word, not on my worries.\u00a0\u00a0May I focus on You my mountain mover, not on the mountain.\u00a0\u00a0May I hear Your Word, trust Your Word, and declare Your Word over my life today.\u00a0\u00a0In Jesus\u2019 name, AMEN!<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
