This was the inheritance of Benjamin for its clans.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On verses 21-28:\u00a0\u00a0Here we get a list of the cities that were included in the land that the tribe of Benjamin received.\u00a0\u00a0Benjamin was one of the smaller tribes of Israel and the amount of land it was given reflected its smaller size.\u00a0\u00a0Yet notice that this small tribe was given \u201cthe Jebusite city (that is, Jerusalem)\u201d (v28), which centuries later would become the capital and most important city in Israel.\u00a0\u00a0Also, later on God would select Saul, the first king of Israel, from this land and this tribe of Benjamin, \u201cthe smallest tribe of Israel\u201d (1 Samuel 9:21).\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0It\u2019s a reminder to me that\u00a0<strong>size is not necessarily an indicator of importance, and that God is able to use, honour and exalt you regardless of your size or background<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It reminds me of what the New Testament missionary Paul, who was also from the tribe of Benjamin, would write a thousand years later:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>1 Corinthians 1:26-29 (NIV)\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<em><sup>26\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Brothers, think of what you were when you were called.
