Let&#8217;s go!<\/p>\n<p>Exodus 4:27 (NIV)<br \/>\n<em><sup>27\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0The\u00a0LORD\u00a0said to Aaron, &#8220;Go into the desert to meet Moses.&#8221; So he met Moses at the mountain of God and kissed him.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On verse 27:\u00a0\u00a0Aaron, Moses\u2019 older brother who was 3 years Moses\u2019 senior (see Exodus 7:7), hears from God that he should go to the desert to meet Moses.\u00a0\u00a0So Aaron goes to meet Moses at \u201cthe mountain of God\u201d (which is likely Mount Horeb where Moses first encountered God in the burning bush) and the brothers are reunited.\u00a0\u00a0How was Aaron, an Israelite slave in Egypt, able to freely leave Egypt to visit Moses?\u00a0\u00a0One theory is that Aaron was a respected elder among the Israelites and had the permission of Pharaoh to go.\u00a0\u00a0Another theory is that Aaron escaped the slave camp without being discovered.<\/p>\n<p>In any event, the fact that Aaron independently sensed from God that he should go see Moses, soon after Moses himself had heard God\u2019s call to go back to Egypt, must have been very encouraging to both Moses and Aaron.\u00a0\u00a0They both must have seen this as a sign from God.\u00a0\u00a0It goes to show that\u00a0<strong>when God wants to do something big, He tends to involve not just one person but multiple trusted leaders in the discerning of it.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Exodus 4:28-31 (NIV)<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<em><sup>28\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Then Moses told Aaron everything the\u00a0LORD\u00a0had sent him to say, and also about all the miraculous signs he had commanded him to perform.<br \/>\n<sup>29\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Moses and Aaron brought together all the elders of the Israelites,<br \/>\n<sup>30\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0and Aaron told them everything the\u00a0LORD\u00a0had said to Moses. He also performed the signs before the people,<br \/>\n<sup>31\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0and they believed. And when they heard that the\u00a0LORD\u00a0was concerned about them and had seen their misery, they bowed down and worshiped.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On verses 28-31:\u00a0\u00a0Moses had been estranged from the Israelite community for almost all of his life, first when he grew up in the royal palace as an Egyptian prince, and later when he fled to Midian.\u00a0\u00a0Aaron thus played a crucial role in bridging the gap between Moses and the Israelite elders.\u00a0\u00a0After seeing the signs that Aaron performed before the people, the Iraelite elders believed and they worshiped God upon realizing that God was concerned for them and had heard their cry for help.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Just as God showed His concern for the Israelites by sending Moses to rescue the Israelites from slavery in Egypt, God showed His concern for us by sending Jesus Christ to rescue us to sin.\u00a0\u00a0Just like the Israelites bowed down and worshiped God in response, so may we also respond to God\u2019s love with worship.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Who is someone in your life who needs to know that the Lord is concerned about them and has seen their misery?\u00a0\u00a0May you be the one to show them that God cares about them.<\/p>\n<p><em>Heavenly Father, thank You that as evidence that You care for us, You sent us a Saviour to rescue us.\u00a0\u00a0Thank You for being the God who hears our cry and who meets our need.\u00a0\u00a0In Jesus\u2019 name, AMEN!\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hi GAMErs!<\/p>\n<p>Today\u2019s passage is Exodus 4:18-31.\u00a0\u00a0There are so many lessons we can learn from this passage.\u00a0\u00a0In this GAME sharing we\u2019ll deal only with verses 27-31 today .
