Today\u2019s passage is Exodus 11:1-10.\u00a0\u00a0Let\u2019s go!<\/p>\n

Exodus 11:1-10 (NIV)<\/em><\/strong>
\n1\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Now the\u00a0LORD\u00a0had said to Moses, “I will bring one more plague on Pharaoh and on Egypt. After that, he will let you go from here, and when he does, he will drive you out completely.
\n2\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Tell the people that men and women alike are to ask their neighbors for articles of silver and gold.”
\n3\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0(The\u00a0LORD\u00a0made the Egyptians favorably disposed toward the people, and Moses himself was highly regarded in Egypt by Pharaoh’s officials and by the people.)
\n4\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0So Moses said, “This is what the\u00a0LORD\u00a0says: ‘About midnight I will go throughout Egypt.
\n5\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Every firstborn son in Egypt will die, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sits on the throne, to the firstborn son of the slave girl, who is at her hand mill, and all the firstborn of the cattle as well.
\n6\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0There will be loud wailing throughout Egypt–worse than there has ever been or ever will be again.
\n7\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0But among the Israelites not a dog will bark at any man or animal.’ Then you will know that the\u00a0LORD\u00a0makes a distinction between Egypt and Israel.
\n8\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0All these officials of yours will come to me, bowing down before me and saying, ‘Go, you and all the people who follow you!’ After that I will leave.” Then Moses, hot with anger, left Pharaoh.
\n9\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0The\u00a0LORD\u00a0had said to Moses, “Pharaoh will refuse to listen to you–so that my wonders may be multiplied in Egypt.”
\n10\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Moses and Aaron performed all these wonders before Pharaoh, but the\u00a0LORD\u00a0hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he would not let the Israelites go out of his country.<\/em><\/p>\n

On verses 1-10:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Here Moses warns Pharaoh about the 10th<\/sup> and final plague that God would bring upon the Egyptians.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0In the meantime, as you read this passage, ask yourself:<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Why would God plague the Egyptians by killing off the firstborn son of every Egyptian family<\/p>\n
