Hi GAMErs,<\/p>\n

Today’s passage is 1 Kings 8:22-30.\u00a0 Let’s go!<\/p>\n

1 Kings 8:22 (NIV)\u00a0<\/strong>
\n22\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>Then Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in front of the whole assembly of Israel, spread out his hands toward heaven\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

On verses 22-30:\u00a0 Here we see King Solomon leading the entire assembly of Israelites in prayer at the dedication service for the newly constructed temple.\u00a0 This was Solomon’s most glorious moment where he steps into his role not only as a ruler but as a spiritual leader and priest for the people he is leading.\u00a0 Just like David wore the linen ephod as a priest would and danced before God with all his might (2 Samuel\u00a06:14), here Solomon is taking on the equivalent of a priestly role, praying on behalf of the nation.<\/p>\n

What can we learn from this?\u00a0 Every person is called to be a priest in their sphere of influence, whether that sphere of influence is their own home, their marriage, their family, their workplace, their friends, or a team they are a part of.\u00a0 It’s an awesome and powerful thing when that person begins to own their role as a priest in God’s kingdom and begins to pray and intercede for the people God has placed in their care.<\/p>\n

So don’t just see yourself as “I’m just a _____ [state your profession or station in life]”.\u00a0 See yourself as a priest in your home, your family, your workplace, your school, and your circle of friends, called by God to pray for those God has placed in your care.<\/p>\n

Heavenly Father, thank You that I am a priest in Your kingdom.\u00a0 No matter what my profession or station in life, I am a priest as well.\u00a0 May I make the most of every opportunity to step into my destiny as a priest who prays on behalf of those You have placed in my life.\u00a0 In Jesus’ name, AMEN!<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
