Hi GAMErs!<\/p>\n

Today\u2019s passage is Deuteronomy 10:1-11.\u00a0 Let\u2019s go!<\/p>\n

Deuteronomy 10:1-11 (NIV)<\/strong><\/em>
\n1\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0At that time the\u00a0LORD\u00a0said to me, “Chisel out two stone tablets like the first ones and come up to me on the mountain. Also make a wooden chest.
\n2\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke. Then you are to put them in the chest.”
\n3\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0So I made the ark out of acacia wood and chiseled out two stone tablets like the first ones, and I went up on the mountain with the two tablets in my hands.
\n4\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0The\u00a0LORD\u00a0wrote on these tablets what he had written before, the Ten Commandments he had proclaimed to you on the mountain, out of the fire, on the day of the assembly. And the\u00a0LORD\u00a0gave them to me.
\n5\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Then I came back down the mountain and put the tablets in the ark I had made, as the\u00a0LORD\u00a0commanded me, and they are there now.
\n6\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0(The Israelites traveled from the wells of the Jaakanites to Moserah. There Aaron died and was buried, and Eleazar his son succeeded him as priest.
\n7\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0From there they traveled to Gudgodah and on to Jotbathah, a land with streams of water.
\n8\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0At that time the\u00a0LORD\u00a0set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the covenant of the\u00a0LORD, to stand before the\u00a0LORD\u00a0to minister and to pronounce blessings in his name, as they still do today.
\n9\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0That is why the Levites have no share or inheritance among their brothers; the\u00a0LORD\u00a0is their inheritance, as the\u00a0LORD\u00a0your God told them.)
\n10\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Now I had stayed on the mountain forty days and nights, as I did the first time, and the\u00a0LORD\u00a0listened to me at this time also. It was not his will to destroy you.
\n11\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0“Go,” the\u00a0LORD\u00a0said to me, “and lead the people on their way, so that they may enter and possess the land that I swore to their fathers to give them.”<\/em><\/p>\n

On verses 1-11:\u00a0 When I read these verses what strikes me is God\u2019s persistence.\u00a0 When the Israelites (spiritually) and Moses (literally\/physically) broke God\u2019s ten commandments, God didn\u2019t give up.\u00a0 Instead God persisted and gave Moses and the Israelites two new tablets containing those same ten commandments.\u00a0 It\u2019s like God was giving them a fresh start.<\/p>\n

When the Israelites angered God with their sin such that God did not want to bring them into promised land anymore, God still persisted and decided to lead them there anyway.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s the persevering, persistent love of God.\u00a0 Love \u201calways trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.\u201d (1 Corinthians 13:7) Even when we fail, His love is unfailing.\u00a0 When we mess up, He offers us another second chance.\u00a0 When others would have given up or not even tried, God keeps on trying.\u00a0 So if you\u2019ve ever had to love someone though it was hard, God completely understands.\u00a0\u00a0 That\u2019s the way He loves all of us.<\/p>\n

Father, thank You for persistent, persevering love for us, how for as long as we are alive You never give up on us and You keep showing us mercy.\u00a0 There is no one who loves like You love.\u00a0 In Jesus\u2019 name, AMEN!<\/em><\/p>\n
