For the\u00a0LORD\u00a0your God will bless you in all your harvest and in all the work of your hands, and your joy will be complete.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On verses\u00a013-15: \u00a0What does the Feast of Tabernacles tell you about God and His purpose for our lives?\u00a0 To understand the purpose of the Feast of Tabernacles and how it relates to us today, click\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thrivechurch.us12.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=77ec4e1ba0a9c0c7b9605a214&amp;id=b36506eaac&amp;e=b608fe02a2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/thrivechurch.us12.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3D77ec4e1ba0a9c0c7b9605a214%26id%3Db36506eaac%26e%3Db608fe02a2&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1656545873276000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3sZH0aWDl7moRy3VZWHhfJ\">HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Deuteronomy 16:16-17 (NIV)<\/strong><br \/>\n<sup>16\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Three times a year all your men must appear before the\u00a0LORD\u00a0your God at the place he will choose: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks and the Feast of Tabernacles. No man should appear before the\u00a0LORD\u00a0empty-handed:<br \/>\n<sup>17\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Each of you must bring a gift in proportion to the way the\u00a0LORD\u00a0your God has blessed you.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On verses 16-17:\u00a0 After summarizing the big 3 feasts of the Jewish calendar, Moses tells this current generation of Israelites that at these feasts no one should appear empty-handed, but rather bring a gift proportional to how God has blessed them.\u00a0 Likewise,\u00a0<strong>since Jesus Christ gave up His life for us, whenever we gather to worship God, let\u2019s not come empty handed but with something to offer<\/strong>.\u00a0 It\u2019s the least we should do in light of all that Jesus Christ has done for us.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Deuteronomy 16:18-20 (NIV)<\/strong><br \/>\n<sup>18\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Appoint judges and officials for each of your tribes in every town the\u00a0LORD\u00a0your God is giving you, and they shall judge the people fairly.<br \/>\n<sup>19\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Do not pervert justice or show partiality. Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the righteous.<br \/>\n<sup>20\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Follow justice and justice alone, so that you may live and possess the land the\u00a0LORD\u00a0your God is giving you.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On verses 18-20: \u00a0<strong>Do you need to make a tough decision between right and wrong?\u00a0 Let verse 20 guide your decision-making: follow justice and justice alone.<\/strong>\u00a0 Practically that means not accepting bribes or showing partiality (v19).\u00a0 It means doing what is right regardless of the consequences and trusting God to work it all out in the best way.
