Today\u2019s passage is Deuteronomy 30:1-10.\u00a0 Let\u2019s go!<\/p>\n

Deuteronomy 30:1-10 (NIV)<\/strong>
\n1\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0When all these blessings and curses I have set before you come upon you and you take them to heart wherever the\u00a0LORD\u00a0your God disperses you among the nations,
\n2\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0and when you and your children return to the\u00a0LORD\u00a0your God and obey him with all your heart and with all your soul according to everything I command you today,
\n3\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0then the\u00a0LORD\u00a0your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on you and gather you again from all the nations where he scattered you.
\n4\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Even if you have been banished to the most distant land under the heavens, from there the\u00a0LORD\u00a0your God will gather you and bring you back.
\n5\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0He will bring you to the land that belonged to your fathers, and you will take possession of it. He will make you more prosperous and numerous than your fathers.
\n6\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0The\u00a0LORD\u00a0your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, so that you may love him with all your heart and with all your soul, and live.
\n7\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0The\u00a0LORD\u00a0your God will put all these curses on your enemies who hate and persecute you.
\n8\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0You will again obey the\u00a0LORD\u00a0and follow all his commands I am giving you today.
\n9\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Then the\u00a0LORD\u00a0your God will make you most prosperous in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your land. The\u00a0LORD\u00a0will again delight in you and make you prosperous, just as he delighted in your fathers,
\n10\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0if you obey the\u00a0LORD\u00a0your God and keep his commands and decrees that are written in this Book of the Law and turn to the\u00a0LORD\u00a0your God with all your heart and with all your soul.<\/em><\/p>\n

On verses 1-10:\u00a0 In\u00a0Deuteronomy\u00a030:1-10 we see God’s heart to restore people who have run away from Him. For those Israelites who had rebelled against God and who were cursed and banished for their disobedience, verses\u00a01\u00a0to 3 say that if they will return to the Lord and obey Him once again, then God will restore them and have compassion on them.<\/p>\n

What can we learn from this?\u00a0 No matter how far away you run from God or how low you fall, you are never beyond God’s reach.\u00a0 God is always willing to bring you home if you would let Him.\u00a0 As verse 4 says, “Even if you have been banished to the most distant land under the heavens, from there the LORD your God will gather you and bring you back.”<\/p>\n

So if you’ve been far from God, know that God’s heart beats with compassion for you. He wants to restore you and bring you near to Himself again.<\/p>\n

If you come back to Him…
\n…He will bring you to that place where you were always meant to be, the place of your destiny (verse 5a).
\n…He will give you a “circumcised heart” (verse 6) meaning that you can have a brand new start with Him, a new relationship where you can love God and be loved by Him (see also verse 8).
\n…He will protect you from your enemies (verse 7).
\n…He will cause you to prosper (verses 5b and 9).<\/p>\n

Thank You Lord that we are never too far beyond Your reach.\u00a0 Thank You for always making a way for us to come back to You. No matter how many times we run away from You, thank You that You’re always there to welcome us with open arms. Your love Lord is amazing!
