Today\u2019s passage is Romans 11:25-36.\u00a0 Let\u2019s go!<\/p>\n

Romans 11:25-36 (NIV)<\/strong>
\n25\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.
\n26\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: “The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
\n27\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins.”
\n28\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies on your account; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs,
\n29\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.
\n30\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience,
\n31\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now receive mercy as a result of God’s mercy to you.
\n32\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0For God has bound all men over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.
\n33\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!
\n34\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0“Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?”
\n35\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0“Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him?”
\n36\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.<\/em><\/p>\n

On verse 36:\u00a0 Paul says that all things are FROM God, THROUGH God, and FOR God.\u00a0 What does that mean exactly?<\/p>\n

“All things are FROM God.”\u00a0<\/em>Explanation: God is the creator of the universe.\u00a0 He is omnipotent (all-powerful) and omniscient (all-knowing).\u00a0 Nothing happens in this world without Him allowing it. In this way all things are FROM God. \u00a0 So why would God allow evil and suffering?\u00a0 We cannot know all the reasons. \u00a0 As Paul says in verse 33 “How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out”.\u00a0 But we know from the Bible that God allows pain for at least 3 reasons: to refine us, to reveal His power through us, and to remind us that earth is not our final home (that eternity, whether in heaven with Jesus or in hell without Jesus, is waiting for us).<\/p>\n

“All things are THROUGH God.”\u00a0<\/em>Explanation: \u00a0God is the sustainer of the universe.\u00a0 Without Him, life in our universe would not be possible.\u00a0 The Bible says that everything in this universe is held together by the word of Christ (see Colossians 1:17 and Hebrews 1:3).\u00a0 Every breath you take, every law of nature — all of it continues to be possible because of God’s sustaining power.\u00a0 Are you facing a difficult challenge today? Rest assured that God’s power is here to sustain you.\u00a0 He will give you everything you need to get through.\u00a0 As Philippians 4:13 says, I can do ALL things THROUGH Christ who gives me strength.<\/p>\n

“All things are FOR God.”<\/em>\u00a0 Explanation: \u00a0Why does God allow anything to exist or sustain anything by His power?\u00a0 One reason: He does it all for His glory.\u00a0 Everything God allows you to have in your life – whether pleasant or painful, good or bad – is ultimately not for your happiness or your suffering. It’s for His glory.\u00a0 The reason you and I exist is for God’s glory.\u00a0 The reason every problem exists is ultimately so that God will show His glory through that problem.\u00a0 It’s not about us; it’s all about Him.<\/p>\n

Since all things are FROM God, let’s thank Him for everything He has done.<\/p>\n

Since all things are THROUGH God, let’s rely on His power to sustain us.<\/p>\n

Since all things are FOR God, let’s live for His glory.<\/p>\n

Father, since all things are from You, through You and for You, I thank You for everything You have done.\u00a0 I rely on Your power to sustain me today.\u00a0 And I pray that I would live for Your glory.\u00a0 In Jesus\u2019 name, AMEN!<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
