{"id":23464,"date":"2022-10-07T22:00:28","date_gmt":"2022-10-08T05:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/romans-15_22-33-copy\/"},"modified":"2022-09-20T17:53:50","modified_gmt":"2022-09-21T00:53:50","slug":"romans-16_1-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/romans-16_1-16\/","title":{"rendered":"Because EQ Matters"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"flex_column av_one_full  flex_column_div av-zero-column-padding first  avia-builder-el-0  avia-builder-el-no-sibling  \" style='border-radius:0px; '><section class=\"av_textblock_section \"  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock  '   itemprop=\"text\" ><p><strong>Romans 16:1-16 \u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Romans+16%3A1-16&amp;version=NIV\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here for Bible Verses<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-23466 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/22-1008.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/22-1008.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ocbf.ca\/2019\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/22-1008-300x150.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Hi GAMErs!<\/p>\n<p>Today\u2019s passage is Romans 16:1-16.\u00a0 Let\u2019s go!<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Romans 16:1-2 (NIV)<\/strong><br \/>\n<sup>1\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a servant of the church in Cenchrea.<br \/>\n<sup>2\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0I ask you to receive her in the Lord in a way worthy of the saints and to give her any help she may need from you, for she has been a great help to many people, including me.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On verses 1-2:\u00a0 It would still be some time before Paul would be able to visit Rome.\u00a0 In the meantime, Paul asks the church in Rome to welcome Phoebe.\u00a0 Many believe that Phoebe was the one delivering this letter to the church in Rome on Paul\u2019s behalf.\u00a0 If that is the case, here\u2019s a lesson for us:\u00a0 Just as the church in Rome was to treat Phoebe the messenger with honour, we want to treat with honour those who bring God\u2019s Word to us, whether it\u2019s in the way we welcome them, speak to them, speak about them or otherwise treat them.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Romans 16:3-16 (NIV)<\/strong><br \/>\n<sup>3\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus.<br \/>\n<sup>4\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0They risked their lives for me. Not only I but all the churches of the Gentiles are grateful to them.<br \/>\n<sup>5\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Greet also the church that meets at their house. Greet my dear friend Epenetus, who was the first convert to Christ in the province of Asia.<br \/>\n<sup>6\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Greet Mary, who worked very hard for you.<br \/>\n<sup>7\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Greet Andronicus and Junias, my relatives who have been in prison with me. They are outstanding among the apostles, and they were in Christ before I was.<br \/>\n<sup>8\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Greet Ampliatus, whom I love in the Lord.<br \/>\n<sup>9\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Greet Urbanus, our fellow worker in Christ, and my dear friend Stachys.<br \/>\n<sup>10\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Greet Apelles, tested and approved in Christ. Greet those who belong to the household of Aristobulus.<br \/>\n<sup>11\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Greet Herodion, my relative. Greet those in the household of Narcissus who are in the Lord.<br \/>\n<sup>12\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Greet Tryphena and Tryphosa, those women who work hard in the Lord. Greet my dear friend Persis, another woman who has worked very hard in the Lord.<br \/>\n<sup>13\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Greet Rufus, chosen in the Lord, and his mother, who has been a mother to me, too.<br \/>\n<sup>14\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, Hermas and the brothers with them.<br \/>\n<sup>15\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Greet Philologus, Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas and all the saints with them.<br \/>\n<sup>16\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Greet one another with a holy kiss.
