The fig tree you cursed has withered!&#8221;<br \/>\n<sup>22\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0&#8220;Have faith in God,&#8221; Jesus answered.<br \/>\n<sup>23\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0&#8220;I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, &#8216;Go, throw yourself into the sea,&#8217; and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.<br \/>\n<sup>24\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On verses 20-24:\u00a0 Here Jesus shows the power of having faith in God.\u00a0 As part of this, Jesus here is encouraging his followers to dream big dreams that involve God.\u00a0 As missionary William Carey is famous for saying, when you\u2019re serving God, expect great things from God, and attempt great things for God.\u00a0 What is something you dream of doing with God for His glory?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mark 11:25-26 (NIV)<\/strong><br \/>\n<em><sup>25\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.<br \/>\n<sup>26\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0&#8220;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On verses 25-26:\u00a0 Here Jesus connects God forgiving us with us forgiving others.\u00a0 He tells his disciples that when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive that person, \u201cso that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins\u201d (v25).\u00a0 Why is our forgiving others connected to God forgiving us?\u00a0 It\u2019s because you can\u2019t really experience the life that comes from God\u2019s forgiveness without letting that forgiveness flow through you to others.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s like the difference between the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea.\u00a0 Both the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea are fed by the same Jordan River.\u00a0 So why is it that the Sea of Galilee is full of life while the Dead Sea has almost no life in it at all?\u00a0 It\u2019s because the Sea of Galilee receives water from the Jordan River and also gives water out to other bodies of water.\u00a0 That constant flow of water in and out of the Sea of Galilee keeps it fresh and full of life.\u00a0 In contrast, because the Dead Sea only receives water and never gives any out, it remains just that: dead.<\/p>\n<p>Forgiveness works the same way.\u00a0 You weren\u2019t made just to receive it, but to give it.\u00a0 Forgiveness was always meant to flow\u00a0<em>through\u00a0<\/em>you, not just to you.<\/p>\n<p>If we truly understand how great is God\u2019s forgiveness toward us, a natural next step is to extend forgiveness to those who hurt us.\u00a0 When we forgive others, it shows that we understand, appreciate and receive God\u2019s forgiveness for us.<\/p>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<p><em>God, I pray that I would dream big, bold dreams with You.\u00a0 Thank You for Your forgiveness which flows through me.\u00a0 In Jesus\u2019 name, AMEN!<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hi GAMErs!<\/p>\n<p>Today\u2019s passage is Mark 11:20-26.\u00a0 Let\u2019s go!<\/p>\n<p>Mark 11:20-24 (NIV)<br \/>\n20\u00a0\u00a0In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots.<br \/>\n21\u00a0\u00a0Peter remembered and said to Jesus, &#8220;Rabbi, look!
