But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted.<br \/>\n<sup>2\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Carry each other&#8217;s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.<br \/>\n<sup>3\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.<br \/>\n<sup>4\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else,<br \/>\n<sup>5\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0for each one should carry his own load.<br \/>\n<sup>6\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Anyone who receives instruction in the word must share all good things with his instructor.<br \/>\n<sup>7\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.<br \/>\n<sup>8\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.<br \/>\n<sup>9\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.<br \/>\n<sup>10\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On verses 1-10: \u00a0 Sometimes we can take our church family, like our own immediate family, for granted.\u00a0 Here Paul reminds us that, for as long as we live, we should do good to all people, but\u00a0<em>especially\u00a0<\/em>our spiritual family (v10).\u00a0 That includes:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; if someone sins and is genuinely repentant, restoring that person gently by showing them the grace, mercy and forgiveness that God showed you and me (v1)<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; carrying each other&#8217;s burdens (v2)<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; looking at yourself with humility and sober judgment (v3)<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; not playing the comparison game, always measuring how you match up with others (v4)<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; taking responsibility for one\u2019s own life rather than burdening others unnecessarily (v5)<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; not being a mere consumer in the church, but being generous and expressing gratitude to those who teach you the Word of God (v6)<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; continuing to do good and not giving up (v9).\u00a0 That includes being committed to meeting together and serving one another through good times and hard times.<\/p>\n<p>For the most part, the book of Galatians is about Paul tackling some important theological issues, but he ends his letter with some practical words of advice.\u00a0 Our theology (what we study and believe about God) should always result in real life love (how we live).<\/p>\n<p><em>Father, thank You for my spiritual family.\u00a0 May I never take my spiritual family for granted, but make the most of every opportunity I have to do good to and for my spiritual family.\u00a0 In Jesus&#8217; name I pray, AMEN!<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hi GAMErs!<\/p>\n<p>Today\u2019s passage is Galatians 6:1-10.\u00a0 Let\u2019s go!<\/p>\n<p>Galatians 6:1-10 (NIV)<br \/>\n1\u00a0\u00a0Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently.
