Then read the GAME sharing below.\u00a0 Let&#8217;s go!<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>2 Samuel 21:15-22 (NIV)<\/strong><br \/>\n<sup>15\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Once again there was a battle between the Philistines and Israel. David went down with his men to fight against the Philistines, and he became exhausted.<br \/>\n<sup>16\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0And Ishbi-Benob, one of the descendants of Rapha, whose bronze spearhead weighed three hundred shekels and who was armed with a new [sword], said he would kill David.<br \/>\n<sup>17\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0But Abishai son of Zeruiah came to David&#8217;s rescue; he struck the Philistine down and killed him. Then David&#8217;s men swore to him, saying, &#8220;Never again will you go out with us to battle, so that the lamp of Israel will not be extinguished.&#8221;<br \/>\n<sup>18\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0In the course of time, there was another battle with the Philistines, at Gob. At that time Sibbecai the Hushathite killed Saph, one of the descendants of Rapha.<br \/>\n<sup>19\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0In another battle with the Philistines at Gob, Elhanan son of Jaare-Oregim the Bethlehemite killed Goliath the Gittite, who had a spear with a shaft like a weaver&#8217;s rod.<br \/>\n<sup>20\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0In still another battle, which took place at Gath, there was a huge man with six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot&#8211;twenty-four in all. He also was descended from Rapha.<br \/>\n<sup>21\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0When he taunted Israel, Jonathan son of Shimeah, David&#8217;s brother, killed him.<br \/>\n<sup>22\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0These four were descendants of Rapha in Gath, and they fell at the hands of David and his men.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On verses 15-22:\u00a0 For decades David was known as Israel&#8217;s giant killer.\u00a0 He was the only one who could defeat the Philistine giant Goliath.\u00a0 Yet in a battle against the Philistines decades later, David is almost killed by a giant of a man called Ishbi-Benob (v15-16).<\/p>\n<p>From that time forward, David would no longer go out to fight with Israel&#8217;s armies.\u00a0 Yet in David&#8217;s place a number of David&#8217;s men would rise up and become giant killers in their own right.\u00a0 These brave warriors would defeat various descendants of Rapha, men who were known for being much larger, like giants.<\/p>\n<p>So Abishai kills Ishbi-Benob (v17).\u00a0 Sibbecai the Hushathite kills Saph (v18).\u00a0 Elhanan kills another giant man named Goliath (v19).\u00a0 Jonathan, David&#8217;s nephew, kills an unnamed giant with six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot (v20-21).<\/p>\n<p>What can we learn from this?\u00a0 Before David, no Israelite dared to face a giant.\u00a0 But\u00a0<strong>when David faced and killed Goliath, it gave David&#8217;s men the faith and the courage to fight and kill giants too. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Likewise,\u00a0<strong>before Jesus, no one could conquer man&#8217;s two giant problems: sin and death.\u00a0 But because Jesus faced and defeated these two giants through his death on the cross and his resurrection from the grave, we have the ability as sons and daughters of God in Christ to defeat giants too.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Is there a giant problem in your path today?\u00a0 A secret struggle you cannot shake?\u00a0 An uncertainty in your future?\u00a0 A crisis in your home?\u00a0 Remember this: Just as Jesus Christ killed giants, you and I were made to be giant killers as well.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If Christ could defeat our two most gigantic problems, then there is no problem too big that you cannot conquer in Christ Jesus. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Christ&#8217;s victory has paved the way so that you and I can be giant killers too, conquering every giant problem that is in our way.\u00a0 For the same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in Christian.<\/p>\n<p><em>Lord Jesus, You are the ultimate giant killer.\u00a0 Thank You that You live in me, and therefore I have the DNA of a giant killer in me too.\u00a0 I proclaim that nothing is too difficult for me and that giants will fall at my feet in Jesus&#8217; name, AMEN!<\/em><\/p>\n<div>\n<div id=\"m_-7331731686688867366:1oa\" role=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"true\" aria-label=\"Hide expanded content\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>opyright \u00a9 2022 Justin Lim.
