Then read the GAME sharing below.\u00a0 Let&#8217;s go!<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>1 Kings 4:1-19 (NIV)<\/strong><br \/>\n<sup>1\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0So King Solomon ruled over all Israel.<br \/>\n<sup>2\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0And these were his chief officials: Azariah son of Zadok&#8211;the priest;<br \/>\n<sup>3\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Elihoreph and Ahijah, sons of Shisha&#8211;secretaries; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud&#8211;recorder;<br \/>\n<sup>4\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Benaiah son of Jehoiada&#8211;commander in chief; Zadok and Abiathar&#8211;priests;<br \/>\n<sup>5\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Azariah son of Nathan&#8211;in charge of the district officers; Zabud son of Nathan&#8211;a priest and personal adviser to the king;<br \/>\n<sup>6\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Ahishar&#8211;in charge of the palace; Adoniram son of Abda&#8211;in charge of forced labor.<br \/>\n<sup>7\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Solomon also had twelve district governors over all Israel, who supplied provisions for the king and the royal household. Each one had to provide supplies for one month in the year.<br \/>\n<sup>8\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0These are their names: Ben-Hur&#8211;in the hill country of Ephraim;<br \/>\n<sup>9\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Ben-Deker&#8211;in Makaz, Shaalbim, Beth Shemesh and Elon Bethhanan;<br \/>\n<sup>10\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Ben-Hesed&#8211;in Arubboth (Socoh and all the land of Hepher were his);<br \/>\n<sup>11\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Ben-Abinadab&#8211;in Naphoth Dor (he was married to Taphath daughter of Solomon);<br \/>\n<sup>12\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Baana son of Ahilud&#8211;in Taanach and Megiddo, and in all of Beth Shan next to Zarethan below Jezreel, from Beth Shan to Abel Meholah across to Jokmeam;<br \/>\n<sup>13\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Ben-Geber&#8211;in Ramoth Gilead (the settlements of Jair son of Manasseh in Gilead were his, as well as the district of Argob in Bashan and its sixty large walled cities with bronze gate bars);<br \/>\n<sup>14\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Ahinadab son of Iddo&#8211;in Mahanaim;<br \/>\n<sup>15\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Ahimaaz&#8211;in Naphtali (he had married Basemath daughter of Solomon);<br \/>\n<sup>16\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Baana son of Hushai&#8211;in Asher and in Aloth;<br \/>\n<sup>17\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Jehoshaphat son of Paruah&#8211;in Issachar;<br \/>\n<sup>18\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Shimei son of Ela&#8211;in Benjamin;<br \/>\n<sup>19\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Geber son of Uri&#8211;in Gilead (the country of Sihon king of the Amorites and the country of Og king of Bashan). He was the only governor over the district.<br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\nOn verses\u00a01-19:\u00a0 What can we learn from this list of officials in Solomon\u2019s court?\u00a0 Here we see that King Solomon &#8220;ruled over all Israel&#8221; (v1) by delegating different parts of the kingdom to various people whom he trusted to help him govern the kingdom well (v2-19).\u00a0 What can we learn from this?<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0 When the project is too large for any one person to handle, a wise leader will delegate different responsibilities to trustworthy individuals.\u00a0 As a church or any organization grows, it takes not just one individual but a strong and excellent team to lead it.\u00a0 That\u2019s why we like to say that the \u201cT\u201d in \u201cTHRIVE\u201d stands for Team, and every Thriver is a part of that team.\u00a0 Similarly, as the number of responsibilities you manage grows, it\u2019s important to ask yourself:\u00a0 what is one area of responsibility in my life where it would be more effective for me to delegate, outsource or at least seek advice rather than you trying to figure it all out by myself?<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0 God wants to involve His children in helping rule His kingdom.\u00a0 As Luke 19:11-26 illustrates, God wants to give trustworthy servants parts of His kingdom to rule on His behalf.\u00a0 You and I were made to reign with God (Romans 5:17; 2 Timothy 2:12).\u00a0 But how much God entrusts to us will depend on how trustworthy you are with what you have now.\u00a0 Do your best with what you have right now, and one day God will give you cities to manage.<\/p>\n<p><em>Father, I pray I would be a faithful and trustworthy manager of all that You have given me, understanding that You are preparing me for even greater responsibility in the future.\u00a0 Please give me wisdom to know what parts of what I do I can delegate to others for greater effectiveness.\u00a0 \u00a0Thank You for everything and the trust You have in me!\u00a0 In Jesus&#8217; name, AMEN!<\/em><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"poetry top-05\">\n<div>\n<div id=\"m_-7331731686688867366:1oa\" role=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"true\" aria-label=\"Hide expanded content\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>opyright \u00a9 2022 Justin Lim.
