The Bible says in Romans 8:28 that \u201cin everything God works for the good of those who love him.\u201d Do this simple exercise. Remove the word \u201ceverything\u201d and replace it with the symbol of your tragedy. How would Romans 8:28 read in your life?\u00a0In\u00a0hospital stays<\/em>\u00a0God works for the good. In\u00a0divorce papers<\/em>\u00a0God works for the good.\u00a0As hard as it may be to believe, you could be only a Saturday away from a resurrection. Hours from that precious prayer of a changed heart. \u201cGod, you did this for\u00a0me<\/em>?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEverything that was written in the past was written to teach us,\u201d Paul said. \u201cThe Scriptures give us patience and encouragement so that we can have hope\u201d (Romans 15:4 NCV). These are not somewhere-over-the-rainbow illusions. They are historic moments in which a real God met real pain so we could answer the question, \u201cwhere is God when I hurt?\u201d<\/p>\n
