I began asking the Christmas questions, and I\u2019ve been asking them ever since.<\/p>\n<p>God knows what it\u2019s like to be a human. When we talk to him about deadlines or tough times, he understands. He\u2019s been there. He\u2019s been\u00a0<em>here<\/em>. Because of Bethlehem, we have a friend in Jesus. Christmas begins what Easter celebrates. The child in the cradle became the King on the cross. And he doesn\u2019t tell us, \u201cClean up before you come in.\u201d He offers, \u201cCome in and I\u2019ll clean you up.\u201d It\u2019s not our grip on him that matters, but his grip on us.
