And he called his name Jesus\u201d (Matthew 1:24-25).<\/p>\n<p>Joseph was literally willing to tank his reputation. And he did \u2013 he traded it in for a pregnant fianc\u00e9e and an illegitimate son and made the big decision of discipleship. He placed God\u2019s plan ahead of his own. Rather than make a name for himself, he made a home for Christ. And because he did, a great reward came his way.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd he called his name Jesus!\u201d\u00a0Of all the saints, sinners, prodigals, and preachers who\u2019ve spoken the name, Joseph\u2014a blue-collar, small-town construction worker\u2014said it first.
