What\u2019s your worst fear? Jesus did more than speak about fear. He faced it. In Mark 14:35-36, Jesus prayed in Gethsemane\u2019s garden, \u201cAbba, Father,\u2019 everything is possible for you.\u00a0 Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet, I want your will to be done, not mine\u201d (NLT).<\/p>\n

The cup equaled Jesus\u2019 worst-case scenario\u2014 to be the recipient of God\u2019s wrath, to experience isolation from his Father. And what Jesus did with his fear shows us what to do with ours. He prayed.\u00a0 He even requested the prayer support of friends. Jesus\u2019 prayer was brief. It was straightforward and trusting.<\/p>\n

Do likewise.\u00a0 Be specific about your fears.\u00a0 Call them out in prayer.\u00a0 Make them stand before God and take their comeuppance!<\/p>\n
