Today\u2019s passage is 1 Chronicles 16:7-18.\u00a0\u00a0Let\u2019s go!<\/p>\n

1 Chronicles 16:7 (NIV)\u00a0<\/strong>
\n7\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0That day\u00a0David first committed to Asaph and his associates this psalm of thanks to the\u00a0LORD:\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

On verses 7-18:\u00a0\u00a0David wrote this song and instructed his worship band to lead it on the day that they brought the ark to Jerusalem (v7).\u00a0\u00a0You can find part of it in Psalm 105.<\/p>\n

\nOn verse 8:\u00a0\u00a0First, choose an attitude of gratitude today.\u00a0\u00a0Take time to thank God for His blessings in your life.\u00a0\u00a0You might think your life sucks right now, but when you choose an attitude of gratitude and start naming some blessings in your life, it\u2019s amazing how an attitude of gratitude can keep you afloat when your circumstances make you feel like sinking.<\/p>\n

1 Chronicles 16:9 (NIV)\u00a0<\/strong>
\n9\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.
\n<\/em>
\nOn verse 9:\u00a0\u00a0Regardless of your musical ability, God loves the sound of your voice when you sing praises to Him.\u00a0\u00a0So, second, sing to\u00a0Him<\/em>!<\/p>\n

1 Chronicles\u00a016:10\u00a0(NIV)\u00a0<\/strong>
\n10\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the\u00a0LORD\u00a0rejoice.<\/em><\/p>\n

On verse 10:\u00a0\u00a0The third is to \u201cglory in his holy name\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0What does it mean to \u201cGlory in his holy name\u201d?\u00a0\u00a0It means to put your hope in God, to place your hope in the only name that can save us.\u00a0\u00a0Sometimes when I am tempted to put my hope in something other than God, I will pray and say, \u201cGod, my hope is not in X\u201d (whether X is exercise, food, things going my way, or something else), \u201cmy hope is in You\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0When I speak this out, I\u2019m glorying in His holy name and strengthening my faith and resolve in the process.<\/p>\n

1 Chronicles\u00a016:11\u00a0(NIV)\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>
\n11\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Look to the\u00a0LORD\u00a0and his strength; seek his face always.<\/em><\/p>\n

On verse 11:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Fourth, don\u2019t focus on your problem or your weakness.\u00a0\u00a0Look to God and the strength we have in Him.<\/p>\n

1 Chronicles 16:12-13 (NIV)\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>
\n12\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,
\n13\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0O descendants of Israel his servant, O sons of Jacob, his chosen ones.<\/em><\/p>\n

On verses 12-13:\u00a0\u00a0Fifth, think back to the times when God has worked wonders in your life.\u00a0\u00a0When you\u2019re facing uncertainty today, look to God\u2019s miracles of yesterday to give you hope for tomorrow.<\/p>\n

1 Chronicles 16:14-18 (NIV)\u00a0<\/strong>
\n14\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0He is the\u00a0LORD\u00a0our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
\n15\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0He remembers his covenant forever, the word he commanded, for a thousand generations,
\n16\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0the covenant he made with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac.
\n17\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant:
\n18\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0“To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion you will inherit.”<\/em><\/p>\n

On verses 14-18:\u00a0\u00a0Sixth, study the Scriptures and get to know the God of the Bible.\u00a0\u00a0The better you know God\u2019s Word, the better you\u2019ll know God, His character and how He relates to us.<\/p>\n
