for their sake he rebuked kings:<br \/>\n<sup>22\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0&#8220;Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On verses 19-22:\u00a0\u00a0Here David recounts how God protected the nation of Israel, even from its humble beginnings.\u00a0\u00a0What can we learn from this?\u00a0\u00a0<strong>God is a protector.\u00a0\u00a0If you have trusted Jesus Christ as your Saviour, you have the most complete protection of any human being.<\/strong>\u00a0 Because of Jesus Christ, you have protection from the wrath of God, protection from the enemy&#8217;s attacks, protection from any ultimate pain or harm, and protection for an awesome destiny.\u00a0\u00a0For You have God Almighty on your side, who keeps you from harm and who has spoken the most complete word of protection over your life.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>1 Chronicles 16:23-24 (NIV)\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<sup>23\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Sing to the\u00a0LORD, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day.<br \/>\n<sup>24\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On verses 23-24:\u00a0\u00a0Lord I pray that today and every day I would proclaim Your salvation and declare Your glory to the world around me.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>1 Chronicles 16:25-26 (NIV)\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<sup>25\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0For great is the\u00a0LORD\u00a0and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.<br \/>\n<sup>26\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the\u00a0LORD\u00a0made the heavens.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On verses 25-26:\u00a0\u00a0As much as the world will try to preach that all gods and all faiths are equal, the truth is that there is no one like the Lord.\u00a0\u00a0Other faiths and religions are self-help programs that focus on what you need to do to earn your way to God.\u00a0\u00a0Christianity is about how God has already done everything necessary to forgive us of our sins so that we can have a relationship with Him.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0There is no one like our God.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>1 Chronicles\u00a016:27\u00a0(NLT)\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<sup>27\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Honor and majesty surround him; strength and joy fill his dwelling.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On verses 27: The place where you\u2019ll find the most honour, majesty, strength and joy is in God\u2019s presence.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0What\u2019s even more amazing thing is how willing God is to share His honour, majesty, strength and joy with us.\u00a0\u00a0In exchange for our shame, God gives us honour in Jesus Christ.\u00a0\u00a0He also shares His majesty with us, calling us His royal children.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0To us who are weak, in Him we find strength.\u00a0\u00a0And to us who lack hope, in Him we find joy.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>1 Chronicles\u00a016:28\u00a0(NIV)\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<sup>28\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Ascribe to the\u00a0LORD, O families of nations, ascribe to the\u00a0LORD\u00a0glory and strength,\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On verse 28:\u00a0\u00a0What does it mean to \u201cAscribe to the Lord glory and strength\u201d?\u00a0\u00a0It means to recognize God as glorious and strong.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Don\u2019t belittle God or have a small view of Him.\u00a0\u00a0Align your vision of who God is with Scripture and see how great He is.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>1 Chronicles\u00a016:29\u00a0(NIV)\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<sup>29\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0ascribe to the\u00a0LORD\u00a0the glory due his name. Bring an offering and come before him; worship the\u00a0LORD\u00a0in the splendor of his holiness.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On verse 29:\u00a0\u00a0When David writes \u201cthe glory due his name\u201d, it\u2019s a reminder that we owe God glory with our lives.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>The reason you have breath in your lungs is to give God glory.\u00a0\u00a0So see your entire life as an offering to give Him glory.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>1 Chronicles\u00a016:30\u00a0(NIV)\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<sup>30\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Tremble before him, all the earth!
