Because He wants you to trust Him. Even His final act on earth was intended to win your trust.<\/p>\n<p>Mark 15:22-24 says, \u201cthey brought Jesus to the place called Golgotha where they offered Him wine mixed with myrrh, but he did not take it.\u00a0 And they crucified Him\u201d (NIV). \u00a0Why?\u00a0 Why did He endure all this suffering\u2014all\u00a0 these feelings?<\/p>\n<p>Well, because He knew you\u2019d be weary, disturbed, and angry.\u00a0 He knew you would be grief-stricken, and hungry, that you would face pain. A pauper knows better than to beg from another pauper. He needs someone who is stronger than he is. Jesus\u2019 message from the Cross is this: I am that Person.
