The sorrow in the heart. The child in the rehab center. The craving for whiskey in the middle of the day. The tears in the middle of the night. The thorn in the flesh. \u201cTake it away,\u201d you\u2019ve pleaded.\u00a0 Not once, twice, or even three times.\u00a0 You\u2019ve out-prayed the Apostle Paul and you\u2019re about to hit the wall.\u00a0 But what you hear Jesus say is this, \u201c<strong>My grace is sufficient for you.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sustaining grace. The grace that meets us at our point of need and equips us with courage, wisdom, and strength. Sustaining grace!\u00a0 It doesn\u2019t promise the absence of struggle.
