Paul urges us to \u201crejoice in the Lord always\u201d (Philippians 4:4). Not just on paydays, good days, or birthdays, but rejoice in the Lord\u00a0always<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Rejoice in the Lord always? \u201cYeah, right,\u201d mumbles the person from the hospital bed. \u201cHow?\u201d sighs the unemployed dad. \u201cAlways?\u201d questions the mother of the baby born with a disability. It\u2019s one thing to rejoice in the Lord when life is good, but when the odds are against you? It\u2019s not easy, but it is possible.<\/p>\n

Lay claim to the promise of God in Colossians 1:7. \u201cHe is before all things, and in him all things hold together.\u201d Rejoice in the sovereignty of God. His thrown is still occupied, his will is still perfect. Rejoice in the Lord\u00a0always<\/em>. God uses everything to accomplish his will.<\/p>\n
