Hi GAMErs,<\/p>\n

Today\u2019s passage is 2 Chronicles 7:11-22. Let\u2019s go!<\/p>\n

On verses 12-16:\u00a0\u00a0After Solomon has finished dedicating the temple, God appears to Solomon. God confirms to Solomon that He has heard Solomon\u2019s prayer, that He will be attentive to the prayers offered in the temple, and that He has chosen and consecrated this temple so that His name would be there forever.\u00a0\u00a0As part of this, God speaks some of the most powerful words regarding prayer and repentance in the Bible:<\/p>\n

2 Chronicles\u00a07:14\u00a0(NIV)\u00a0<\/strong>
\n14\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.<\/em><\/p>\n

When God speaks this promise in verse 14, He is speaking about situations where the land is affected by droughts, plagues or locusts.\u00a0\u00a0God promises to heal the Israelites\u2019 land if they will humble themselves, pray, seek His face and turn from their wicked ways.<\/p>\n

What can we learn from this?\u00a0\u00a0As God\u2019s people we have a major part to play in the health, healing and prosperity of our city, community, nation and world.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0If we will pray, seek God and live the way God has called us to live, then the city, community, nation and world around us will be impacted in the most positive way.<\/p>\n

2 Chronicles 7:17-22 (NIV)\u00a0<\/strong>
\n17\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0“As for you, if you walk before me as David your father did, and do all I command, and observe my decrees and laws,
\n18\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0I will establish your royal throne, as I covenanted with David your father when I said, ‘You shall never fail to have a man to rule over Israel.’
\n19\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0“But if you turn away and forsake the decrees and commands I have given you and go off to serve other gods and worship them,
\n20\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0then I will uproot Israel from my land, which I have given them, and will reject this temple I have consecrated for my Name. I will make it a byword and an object of ridicule among all peoples.
\n21\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0And though this temple is now so imposing, all who pass by will be appalled and say, ‘Why has the\u00a0LORD\u00a0done such a thing to this land and to this temple?’
\n22\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0People will answer, ‘Because they have forsaken the\u00a0LORD, the God of their fathers, who brought them out of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshiping and serving them–that is why he brought all this disaster on them.'”<\/em><\/p>\n

On verses 17-22:\u00a0\u00a0Here God makes two options abundantly clear to Solomon:<\/p>\n
