Hi GAMErs,<\/p>\n

Today\u2019s passage is Nehemiah 9:16-38.\u00a0\u00a0Let\u2019s go!<\/p>\n

Nehemiah\u00a09:33\u00a0(NIV)\u00a0<\/strong>
\n33\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0In all that has happened to us, you have been just; you have acted faithfully, while we did wrong.<\/em><\/p>\n

On verses 16-37:\u00a0\u00a0Here the Levites recount how faithful and good God has been to the Israelites throughout their history, and how despite God\u2019s faithfulness, the Israelites persisted in sin and rebellion.\u00a0\u00a0It\u2019s a picture of the constant faithfulness of God juxtaposed against the ongoing failure of the people He loves.\u00a0\u00a0The fact that God never gave up on the Israelites despite how much they grieved Him with their persistent sin shows us how amazing, steadfast, humble, unconditional and faithful is the love of God.<\/p>\n

Thank You, Lord, for using this passage to remind me that even though I fail You time and time again, You never fail me.\u00a0\u00a0You are always faithful.\u00a0\u00a0Even in my failure I can always fall back on Your mercy and faithfulness.\u00a0\u00a0Thank You for never giving up on me despite all the times that I have grieved You with my wrong choices.\u00a0\u00a0You deliver me \u201ctime after time\u201d (v28).\u00a0\u00a0How amazing is Your faithful love for me!\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Nehemiah\u00a09:38\u00a0(NIV)\u00a0<\/strong>
\n38\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0“In view of all this, we are making a binding agreement, putting it in writing, and our leaders, our Levites and our priests are affixing their seals to it.”<\/em><\/p>\n

On verse 38:\u00a0\u00a0Realizing that sin ultimately does not satisfy and realizing how faithful God is despite all their failure, the people recommit themselves to the Lord.<\/p>\n

Thank You Lord for showing us that sin ultimately does not satisfy, and that it only results in our bondage and slavery to people and things that are not nearly as beautiful, powerful or merciful as You (v36-37).\u00a0How much better, wiser and more profitable to bind myself to You than to anyone else or anything else.\u00a0\u00a0In Jesus\u2019 name, AMEN!<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
