Whatever God says goes (v14).\u00a0\u00a0He is sovereign over creation (v15).\u00a0\u00a0Neither the gullible nor the crafty are any match for Him (v16).<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Job 12:20-21 (NIV)\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<sup>20\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0He silences the lips of trusted advisers and takes away the discernment of elders.<br \/>\n<sup>21\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0He pours contempt on nobles and disarms the mighty.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On verses 17-25:\u00a0\u00a0Here Job uses poetic language to describe how God disempowers the powerful.\u00a0\u00a0Why would God give power to people only to take it away?\u00a0\u00a0It\u2019s so that people would realize that \u201cTo\u00a0<em>God\u00a0<\/em>belong wisdom and power\u201d (v13), that no one would boast in their own strength, but only in the Lord.\u00a0Paul puts it this way:<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>1 Corinthians 1:27-31 (NIV)\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<sup>27\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.<br \/>\n<sup>28\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things&#8211;and the things that are not&#8211;to nullify the things that are,<br \/>\n<sup>29\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0so that no one may boast before him.<br \/>\n<sup>30\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God&#8211;that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.<br \/>\n<sup>31\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0Therefore, as it is written: &#8220;Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Heavenly Father, there is no one like You.\u00a0\u00a0All wisdom and power belong to You.\u00a0\u00a0Whatever You say goes.\u00a0\u00a0Whatever You decide stands.\u00a0\u00a0Thank You for those times when I realize the limits of my own power or other people\u2019s power.\u00a0\u00a0It\u2019s a reminder that You are the only absolutely powerful one.\u00a0\u00a0In Jesus\u2019 name, AMEN!<\/em><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hi GAMErs,<\/p>\n<p>Today\u2019s passage is Job 12:13-25.\u00a0\u00a0Let\u2019s go!<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nJob 12:13-16 (NIV)\u00a0<br \/>\n13\u00a0\u00a0&#8220;To God belong wisdom and power; counsel and understanding are his.\u00a0<br \/>\n14\u00a0\u00a0What he tears down cannot be rebuilt; the man he imprisons cannot be released.\u00a0<br \/>\n15\u00a0\u00a0If he holds back the waters, there is drought; if he lets them loose, they devastate the land.\u00a0<br \/>\n16\u00a0\u00a0To him belong strength and victory; both deceived and deceiver are his.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nOn verses 13-16:\u00a0\u00a0There is no one like our God.\u00a0\u00a0No one can match His wisdom or power (v13).
