Mark 4:30-32 (NIV)
30  Again he said, “What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it?
31  It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest seed you plant in the ground.
32  Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds of the air can perch in its shade.”
 
On verses 30-32:  Whenever the kingdom of God starts in any person, in any city, or in any place in the world, it always begins the same way: as the tiniest seed.  Over time, however, it can become the biggest thing you see and strong enough to give protection and shelter to others.  So don’t despise small beginnings.  God doesn’t.

當人類學會書寫的那一刻，錯誤也自然誕生。最早期的書寫，如：泥板刻文、竹簡、莎草紙，一旦錯了，無法修改，只能劃去、刮除、或乾脆重寫一頁。那是一個「錯誤留下痕跡，就需付出代價」的年代。

直到鉛筆問世，人們開始用天然橡膠擦拭錯誤。18世紀的橡皮擦改變了書寫的自由度，錯字不再是永久的印記，而是可被消除的過程。隨後，鋼筆流行帶來了新的挑戰，也催生了20世紀中修正液與修正帶的誕生，白色塗層遮蓋墨跡，容許人們在紙上「重新來過」。

1770年，英國化學家Joseph Priestley首次記載天然橡膠可擦除鉛筆筆跡。
1858年，美國商人Hymen Lipman將橡皮擦裝在鉛筆尾端，獲得專利。
1951年，美國女秘書Bette Nesmith Graham發明修正液，靈感來自畫家「遮蓋錯筆」（用覆蓋的方式處理錯誤的技巧）。

Mark 4:21-23 (NIV)
21  He said to them, “Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed? Instead, don’t you put it on its stand?
22  For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open.
23  If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.”
 
On verses 21-23:  Remember that Jesus is talking here with his disciples, to whom he has revealed the secrets of God’s kingdom (see v11).
