4不要照愚昧人的愚妄話回答他，恐怕你與他一樣。5要照愚昧人的愚妄話回答他，免得他自以為有智慧。
不講話的學問
「不要照愚昧人的愚妄話回答他，恐怕你與他一樣。」(箴言二十六：4)
講話的學問在知道什麼時候該講，什麼時候不該講。講個不停，不是最好的講話方式，不講話，也不是解決問題的方法。即使同一個對象，也有講與不講的時候。
聖經裡的「愚人」，原意是偏離正常岔路的人，這包括個性上倔強，做事上極端，性情上反覆，判斷上曲解，真理上譏諷，行為上墮落，心靈裡邪惡，性慾上氾濫， 金錢上貪婪，勢力上嗜血；宗教上有敬虔，卻背了有敬虔的實意；知識上有聰明，卻拿來反對創造知識的上帝；做事上有行動力，卻不知做事的目的；感情上有需 要，卻在相反的一方得滿足等。
當愚人陷在自我為義時，智慧的人要保持靜默，免得與他同調。那是體力的浪費，智力的消耗，心力的損傷。
火車交會要不同軌，否則會對撞。行車安全要有紅綠燈，否則不知往前或停止。我們與愚人同軌嗎？我們的生命沒有紅綠燈嗎？上帝啊，求祢給憐恤的機會。

1夏天落雪，收割時下雨，都不相宜，愚昧人得尊榮，也是如此。2麻雀往來，燕子翻飛，這樣，無故的咒詛也必不臨到。3鞭子是為打馬，轡頭是為勒驢，刑杖是為打愚昧人的背。
真正的尊榮
「夏天落雪，收割時下雨，都不相宜。愚昧人得尊榮，也是如此。」(箴言二十六：1)
夏天，是作物獲得充份陽光，快速生長的季節，如果這時下雪，對作物是很大的傷害。秋天，是作物要收割的時候，如果這時下雨，作物會長黴，結穗會掉落，將使一年的收成沒結果。
我們要小心，不適當的尊榮，傷害將多於榮耀，是不相宜的事。「不相宜」是含蓄的用詞，意即不美好、不恰當、不相稱的意思。有些頭銜一戴，自己幾年的歲月就成那頭銜的奴隸。有些獎項一拿，自己得失的心就重，不易接受自己還會失敗。
對「董事長」、「部長」、「校長」、「主任」、「隊長」、「站長」、「台長」等名詞都要小心，這些尊榮使人不易當個好「家長」。真正的榮耀是上帝給的，不是人給的。只有在上帝台前的那一天，才有真正的尊榮。

22 What if God, choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath–prepared for destruction?
23 What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory—
On verses 22-23: According to Paul, God doesn’t wipe out instantly those whom He didn’t choose for salvation (“the objects of his wrath”); rather “with great patience” (v22) God bears with them and allows them to live for a while. Why does God do that? Paul suggests God does this “to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy”; in other words, somehow by bearing with those who are not His people for a while, God is showing to those who are His people how great and glorious He is. How so? Maybe it’s that by not coming down in wrath right away on those God has not chosen, God is showing His people that He is patient, tolerant, not in a rush, and still willing to use those who are not chosen for at least some good, so that their existence is not completely for naught.
箴言25:25 有好消息從遠方來，就如拿涼水給口渴的人喝。

23北風生雨，讒謗人的舌頭也生怒容。24寧可住在房頂的角上，不在寬闊的房屋與爭吵的婦人同住。25有好消息從遠方來，就如拿涼水給口渴的人喝。26義人在惡人面前退縮，好像趟渾之泉，弄濁之井。27吃蜜過多是不好的，考究自己的榮耀也是可厭的。28人不制伏自己的心，好像毀壞的城邑沒有牆垣。
不要論斷人
「北風生雨，讒謗人的舌頭也生怒容」(箴言二十五:23)我們不是活在恆溫層的人，每天會遇到不一樣的人，講不一樣的話，做不一樣的事，生活一定有變化。有些變化讓人生氣，尤其是急促催逼者，如同寒冷的北風，溫度驟降會下雨。
有些人做事的方法，是先讓你生氣，當你失去理性，他們可得益處。快速讓人生氣的方法，是讒謗的話。「讒謗」的原文，是很獨特的字，是進入你的隱密空間。讒謗是論斷人，誤解別人的心底事，結果帶來人的憤怒。
人與人相處，我們沒有辦法知道別人心裡的意念。因此不要去論斷，能夠論斷的只有上帝。

14 What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all!
15 For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”
16 It does not, therefore, depend on man’s desire or effort, but on God’s mercy.
17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh: “I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”
18 Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.
19 One of you will say to me: “Then why does God still blame us? For who resists his will?”
20 But who are you, O man, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?'”
21 Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use?
On verses 14-21: If it is God who chooses in advance who will be saved and who won’t be, then how can God blame those of us who don’t believe in Him? When we looked yesterday at Romans 9:1-13 I shared with you one reason why we cannot accuse God of being unfair for choosing in advance to save some and not others.
箴言25:21 你的仇敵，若餓了就給他飯喫。

21你的仇敵，若餓了就給他飯喫，若渴了就給他水喝。22因為你這樣行，就是把炭火堆在他的頭上，耶和華也必賞賜你。。23北風生雨，讒謗人的舌頭也生怒容。
仇敵也有需要
「你的仇敵，若餓了就給他飯喫。」(箴言二十五：21)
上帝提醒我們，這世界沒有永遠的仇敵，因為仇敵也是人。人有人的軟弱，需要扶持；人有人的需要，可以幫忙。
感謝上帝，這個世界沒有永遠不餓的仇敵，證明仇敵也有需要。給仇敵飯喫，是有機會使仇敵變成朋友。仇敵也是人，與我們都是上帝創造的基礎上，也要憐恤他。不要因為他是仇敵，就給他吃垃圾，或以為仇敵餓的時候，就幸災樂禍。那是上帝給我們的機會，去憐恤我們的仇敵。
因此，敵國有饑荒，我們應該去賙濟；對手的公司有困難，我們應該去幫忙；敵人有苦難，要去幫他。上帝讓我們有仇敵，是祂的美意，仇敵的存在，像是馬路上的危險標誌，到了那裡要小心行車，以免我們做事、做人，橫衝直撞。

On verses 1-3: Here Paul expresses how much it hurts his heart to see that many of his own fellow Israelites have chosen to reject Jesus as their Saviour (Messiah) and how much he wishes that they would know Jesus personally.

Romans 8:31-35 (NIV)
31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all–how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.
34 Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died–more than that, who was raised to life–is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
On verses 31-35: In this passage Paul uses 7 rhetorical questions to express how immense, full, overpowering and all-surpassing is the love God has for us, such that we really have nothing to worry about when it comes to our lives, and every reason to thank God. All 7 questions are rhetorical, meaning that Paul asks them to make a point rather than to pose a real question. Let’s look at the points Paul is making with each question:

19患難時倚靠不忠誠的人，好像破壞的牙，錯骨縫的腳。20對傷心的人唱歌，就如冷天脫衣服，又如鹼上倒醋。
結交好的朋友
「患難時倚靠不忠誠的人，好像破壞的牙，錯骨縫的腳。」(箴言二十五：19)
好的朋友，是忠誠的人，危難時靠得住，困苦時挺得住。不忠誠的人，像是蛀牙，或是壞牙，吃硬東西的時候就酸，喝太熱太冷的水就疼。
找朋友不能平常花拳綉腿，要一起奔跑時，他卻骨頭脫臼，關節酸、筋錯位，施不上力。逃難時他不能扶你，只能你扶他。逃跑時，你無法靠他，他卻要靠你。享樂型的人，不要結交作朋友，要結交挺得住的人。患難來時，可以共患難，任務來時，他能撐住半邊天。
古代買馬先看馬的牙，有好牙齒的馬，才能吃乾糧，以後跑得快。買牛時，先看牛膝蓋，膝蓋好的牛，拉重物時膝蓋才挺得住。願上帝給你的朋友，是挺得住的人。
